Since Renaissance period was a period of arts and humanism, music in this period was lively and vivid expressing emotions. It is different from Medieval music which is dim and emphasizes chanting. Renaissance music was played with more lively instruments such as harpsichord, lute, brass, violin, reed pipe etc.
